The Hayfield School is a popular and high-achieving school, with a strong reputation for academic success, personal development and, above all, the quality of the relationships we build with our students and families.

These values shape the culture of our school and the expectations we have of ourselves and one another. Every day, our staff work hard to model and instill these qualities in our students, helping them to develop the character, confidence and resilience they need to thrive in adulthood and in the world of work.
As Headteacher, I am ambitious for every child and young person at The Hayfield School. I want every student to make excellent progress from their individual starting point and to leave us ready, equipped and prepared for the next stage of their education, employment or training.
Academic success is important, but it is only one part of what makes a great education. We want our students to be prepared for life in modern Britain: to understand and respect our shared values, to celebrate and embrace difference, to contribute positively to their community.
We also want our students to experience the joy of being part of a school community: developing a sense of belonging, building friendships, discovering new interests, developing talents, taking on responsibilities and, importantly, having some fun along the way. Our House System and extensive programme of clubs, activities, trips, visits and wider opportunities provide fantastic ways for students to experience all that school life has to offer.
Of course, great schools do not happen by chance. They are built through the commitment of talented professionals, strong leadership and positive partnerships with families. At The Hayfield School, we place great value on working closely with parents and carers.
