About our school

Our school is a very popular and high achieving 11-16 school with academy status.  We are unashamedly traditional in the values of our school community: a strong work ethic; kindness and decency.  We aim to create confident individuals, life-long learners and responsible citizens.  The school provides an extremely positive, high quality and enjoyable learning experience and aims to inspire students to achieve their very best.  There is a strong track record of securing high standards of achievement.

We welcome applications from all sections of the community; ours is a school which celebrates and embraces difference. The one thing we will never compromise on, however, is that our staff are passionate about working with children and young people.

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. As such successful candidates will be expected to undertake a criminal records check.

We want our staff to enjoy their work and really see the value in what they do. In return we seek every opportunity to develop staff. The Hayfield School is a great place to work where all colleagues are supported and valued, parents are supportive and the pupils are so eager to achieve. The school is situated in Auckley near Robin Hood Airport. It is a lovely part of Doncaster and really easy to get to and from. Our staff come from as far away as North Leeds, Sheffield, Scunthorpe and Nottinghamshire. It really is worth the journey.
