The Hayfield School is in the top 20% of schools in the country for attainment in numerous subjects, we are also in the top 20% of schools in the country for overall progress, as well as progress specifically in English, mathematics and ‘open’ subjects. Our progress score in mathematics (+1) and value added in humanities subjects (+1) are particularly high.
We have a proud history of high levels of attainment at The Hayfield School. In 2022 we again celebrated a superb set of GCSE results, with 74% of our students achieving grade 5 or higher in both English and mathematics. This is 24% above the national average and 29% above the local average for schools.
A total of 122 grade 9’s were awarded to our students, with one in five students achieving this coveted grade in history and sociology. Three-quarters of our students achieved grade 7 or higher in history and half did in architecture, computer science, hospitality & catering, mathematics, sociology and statistics. Every student that did French achieved grade 5 or higher and every student that did computer science, history and statistics achieved at least grade 4.
All of these results are testament to the dedication and expertise of our staff as well as to the strong work ethic that we encourage in our students. They are also evidence of a successful, broad and balanced curriculum.
